Learn More About Online & Traditional Degrees
What is the difference between getting a degree online and getting a degree at a physical university? For the most part, there is little or no difference between online degrees and degrees given at the physical university. If a school has accreditation, experience and so on, then a degree you get at an online university will be exactly the same as a degree you would get in a physical school.
The main difference between online degrees and degrees given in physical schools is the variety and types involved. As you can see, most of the degrees offered at online universities are more of the passive, studying-based courses that require less interaction and less use of tools. For example, you will see that there are no science-based or medical-based degrees available online, because these require hands-on work in laboratories or other facilities.
Another difference is interaction. With a traditional degree program that takes place in a physical university, you are able to better interact with instructors and fellow students, which could affect your learning experience. In an online degree program, there is interaction, but it's more limited since it is internet-based. This doesn't affect the quality of the education involved, just the experience.
These are the two main differences between getting a degree online and getting a degree at a physical university. As you can see they are relatively minor, but they can have an impact as to whether you choose an online university or a traditional university.
