Being a better-organized person can improve your memory and save time. For example, if you can't locate a file in your office, having a better-organized filing system will save you time and you'll remember where things are more easily.

Suppose it is your responsibility to take the day's outgoing mail in your office to the mailbox each day. You have a habit of forgetting to do this, and the mail stays in your office overnight instead of reaching the post office. To break this habit, the mail basket could be moved to a location near the door, so as you leave the office every day, you see the mail. Or maybe the mail basket should be moved into your office or placed near where you hang your coat.
