Using Notes as Memory Aides

Just as effective note taking can enhance listening skills and learning in general, notes also can "jar your memory." For example, as you are leaving your home for the office, you have to remember to call your doctor for an appointment, stop at the cleaners and make sure that you get gas for the car. Write these things down on a sheet of paper as memory aids.

However, the key thing is to remember to look at your note from time to time. Place it a conspicuous place, such as a pocket you go into frequently, near your phone on your desk or on the seat of your car.
